Criminal Background Check (CBC) reimbursement

Volunteers - Kingston 2010 Ontario ParaSport Winter Games

Dear Volunteers

The athletes and the organizing committee of the Kingston 2010 Ontario ParaSport Winter Games thank you for your work during the recent games. Because of your committed effort the athletes enjoyed a smooth-running competitive experience that has been described by ParaSport Ontario executive personnel as "the best ever". We hope that you were able to watch these magnificent athletes in action.

One of the goals of the organizing committee is to create a "Legacy of the Games". A legacy of experienced volunteers, ready to help with future events, and a legacy of financial benefit to the Kingston community of athletes with physical disabilities. Any residual funds from the games will go to the Kingston YMCA for improvement and upgrade of its facilities for disabled athletes.

As a working volunteer you have already contributed and are part of the Legacy of the Games --- but you have the opportunity to contribute to the financial legacy as well. If you applied for, and submitted to the games organizing committee, a Criminal Background Check (CBC) expressly for working the Kingston 2010 Ontario ParaSport Winter Games you are eligible to a refund of the fifteen dollar ($15) cost. There is a process in place for you to obtain your reimbursement and you will find that on the games website, winter.ontarioparasportgames.com.

Of course you may decide to contribute you CBC cost to the Legacy of the Games --- your choice, and whatever it is we sincerely thank you for your work at the games --- you, the volunteers, made it happen!! And it was great!!!

Cheers to all - your Volunteer Services Committee
